Olga received her MA at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philology. During her PhD studies she spent two semesters at the University of Bologna. Olga is interested in research on digitalization and internationalization of higher education. As a WBAA research member with other authors from the Serbian WBAA chapter she published "Attitudes of participants of foreign mobility programs on the internationalization of higher education in Serbia" (written in Serbian, but also translated into English for one of the WBAA projects).

She is interested in corpus analysis, but she combines quantitative and qualitative approach in her research endeavors; she closely collaborates with the WBAA research team.

Samir Beharić is an award-winning youth activist, a TEDx speaker and a recent graduate with a master’s degree from the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree program in Global Studies of the University of Vienna and Leipzig University.
Samir received his BA in Media & Communication Studies at the University of Sarajevo, and studied abroad in Germany, Turkey and Italy as a scholarship holder of the Erasmus+ program and Turkish Government.

Since high school, he has been engaged in civil society and particularly interested in human rights, youth activism and student issues. As a National Representative for the Erasmus Student Network BiH, he has openly advocated for several important initiatives regarding education at the University of Sarajevo and other academic institutions nationwide.

Samir was one of the organizers of the nationwide Erasmus+ protests, which achieved its goals of keeping the Erasmus+ educational program available to students in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He is currently serving as a Lantos Fellow at the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (U.S. Helsinki Commission), a U.S. government body that promotes human rights, military security, and economic cooperation in 57 countries in Europe, Eurasia, and North America. Samir joined the WBAA Board in July 2019.

Klaudjo Kavaja is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree graduate in Education Policies and Global Development. Through his programme he studied at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of Amsterdam, the University of Malta and had an internship at the UNESCO HQ in Paris (Education Policies department). After his studies he decided to return to Albania. Now he serves as the National Representative for Albania at the Western Balkans Alumni Association (WBAA) and is engaged through different projects in the civil society sector.

Klaudja always remembers herself being passionate about and exploring nature. This is why she went to study in three different European countries to learn more about nature and outdoor studies contributing to the preservation of nature through education programs. Currently, she is working with “Protection and Preservation of the Natural Environment in Albania”. She is the education and outreach coordinator creating and implementing activities that engage communities in protecting their local environment. She runs peer led education programmes among young people in remote areas around Albania. She hopes to instill a passion for habitat protection among young people.

Nena is convinced that development of the higher education is a precondition for the socio-economic and political development of the region, and therefore, has been dedicated to this field in academic experiences, as well as in her professional ones. She holds a bachelor degree from the School of Economics and Business of the University of Sarajevo and a master degree from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Latvia in European Studies. As a part of her master studies, Nena successfully completed a master thesis on structural changes in higher education of BiH in the context of Bologna Process and integration to EHEA. She has just finalized her traineeship in the European Commission in the Erasmus+ Capacity Building Unit where she improved her knowledge and skills on the Erasmus+ project management. Previously, she was working as a project officer in National Erasmus+ Office in BiH where she was in charged for promotion of the Erasmus+ Programme, monitoring of the Erasmus+ projects implemented in BiH and for support to potential applicants and beneficiaries in preparing and implementing their projects. Nena enthusiastically promotes Erasmus+ Programme and she has been one of the volunteers who worked on the development of WBAA since the beginning.

Marjola Memaj is an experienced project coordinator, working for various international NGOs and EU projects in the field of Youth, Cultural Diversity, Education and co-founder of 3WDesign.
She also gained an extensive volunteer experience with engaging in civil society organizations that are focused in developing skills and leadership among the young generation.
After obtaining a bachelor degree in Sociology from Tirana University she embarked on her first Erasmus exchange program JoinEuSEE at Groningen University, Netherlands where she focused more on the study of Social Influence and Institutional Sociology (2012-2013). She then got involved in NGO’s EU projects in Romania where she started as a project assistant at Curba De Cultura, continuing her pursue of knowledge at the Save the Children Foundation working as a project coordinator (2014-2015).
She earned her master degree in International Relation from NOVA University, Portugal as a SIGMA Scholarship holder, where for 2 years she concentrated on Foreign Policy, European Institution and Security and Strategic Studies. She returned in Tirana in 2017 to enter the Western Balkans Alumni Association where she currently holds the title of National Representative and National Project Coordinator, being an advocate for the modernization and improvement of the quality of higher education in the region and conducting regional policy analysis on education, mobility schemes and employability of students in their home countries.

Andjela Micanovic holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations/American Studies from the University of Heidelberg (Germany). She previously obtained a B.A. at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Montenegro. As an exchange student, she spent the second year of studies at the American University in Washington, DC (USA).

Throughout her studies, Andjela was actively engaged in student organizations and NGOs aiming at empowering youth. During her internship within the United Nations in Montenegro, she was a member of the small team that conducted the I wish for Myself campaign, encouraging youth from the underdeveloped North of Montenegro to take an active part in the development of their communities. While working for the EU Delegation to Montenegro and the Montenegrin Embassy to USA, Andjela followed the Montenegrin path towards the European Union and NATO and observed Government efforts at countering challenges of memberships. Andjela worked for the national and local TV stations and NGO sector, bringing to light issues that people encounter on daily basis and providing possible solutions.

Andjela was a national representative at conferences and seminars organised by the European Commission and the United Nations, as well as other non-profit organisations, and actively contributed to the adoption of youth-related documents of high significance (Colombo Declaration on Youth, Guiding Framework on the thematic priority of “Youth Empowerment for Political Participation”, etc).

Andjela is fluent in Montenegrin/Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian and English. She has a good knowledge of German, Italian, and Spanish.

Jelena Milešević, is a researcher in public health nutrition in Serbia. After finishing Faculty of Chemistry, Biochemistry at University of Novi Sad in 2007, she has been granted Erasmus Mundus- Basileus scholarship for full degree (2 years) Master program for Nutrition and Rural Development, at Gent University, Belgium (2009-2011). Eventually, she came back to Serbia, started her work in Institute for Medical Research, Belgrade, in Center of Research Excellence in Nutrition and Metabolism, and in the meantime returned to Belgium to work on EC FP7 Research projects, in international association EuroFIR AISBL, for two years (2014-2015). Again, she came back to Serbia, and to her work at the Institute and on her PhD at the Faculty of Technology University of Novi Sad, in the field of Food Engineering. She likes to cook, dance, travel, and meet different people and cultures.

Tamara has been the one interested in puzzle solving. Her other passion is discovering the world. Combining both, since early ages she got the sense of persistence, accomplishment, creativity, exploring and desire to travel. All of the mentioned led her to take steps forward in order to reach her goals such as:
Subscribed herself as a student of International economics and business (she has been between the top 10 students at the university);
Took part in a mobility program (Erasmus +) for 1 year;
Participated in many training courses related to her studies and other fields organized within the borders of the country and abroad;
Organized language project having the role president committee.
She has always seen the glass half full and considers herself as a person that spreads positivity.
All of the mentioned above led her where is she now, working in one of the most prestigious companies in the country - “Comfy Angel" as a sales consultant.

Stefan is 24 and currently studying a master’s degree in electrical energy engineering at the University in Bologna, Italy. Previously he worked as an electrical engineer at a local company and later as a trainee at the Institute of Engineering, at the University of Algarve, Portugal. He gained his degree at the Goce Delchev University as a Graduate Electrical Engineer in the fields of Renewable Energy Sources. He participated in the Erasmus+ program as a student at the Polytechnical University of Cartagena, Spain. He joined WBAA 2 years ago, based on this student mobility and continued being active member of the organization in the last 2 years. His youth work dates back from high school where he was one of the cofounders of the student organization. Furthermore, he continues his commitment of being part of the active youth of our town by becoming associate of the Youth Council of the Municipality of Stip and later on participating in different NGOs.
Stefan grew from participating in events, workshops, exchanges to actually developing his ideas and executing them in events organized and led by himself.
Stefan is qualified and experienced youth Worker with a wealth of experience at an international level. He has worked at both delivery and management levels and project managed a variety of issue based programmes that have ranged from youth democracy, youth participation and advocacy.
He has a passion for youth participation and in supporting both young people and those who work with them to realise their full potential and he is inspired to make a difference by sharing his experiences and knowledge particularly with families and youth.
He is open to new ideas, committed to the development of the human potential, creative expression and leadership skills.
Stefan enjoys traveling and is always interested meeting new cultures and places. By the moment he has traveled in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Slovakia and part of the Balkan countries.
He strongly believes in a quote by Miguel de Unamuno – Fascism is cured by reading, and racism is cured by traveling. Stefan joined the WBAA Board in September 2019.

Roland Raka is 22 years old and currently lives in Republic of Kosovo. He studied Industrial Engineering in University of Prishtina, and finished a semester in Poland through Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Program. He was awarded a Certificate of Attendance for participating in research, teaching and training activities by University of Gazi, Ankara, Turkey. Soon afterward, he started working for KIVO Group in the field of Engineering, as one of the largest, most innovative, ISO and BRC certified producers of polyethylene packaging materials in Europe. (2013) During her studies she finished her Traineeship as a Journalist in Radio Television Vijesti and afterwards in 2014. as a Journalist in News FORUM in Radio Television ATLAS. She was awarded with TUBITAK International Graduate Scholarship in 2014 and finished Master of Arts Programme in Communication Studies at Kadir Has University in Istanbul, Turkey. Sanja Stefanova is Head of International Relation office at the Goce Delcev University in Shtip where she is responsible for the implementation of the internationalization strategy. Sanja has a professional background in international admissions and she has been a participant and trainer on recognizable issues at national and international seminars and conferences.
Sanja holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and for more than 5 years, she actively works in the field of youth as a Youth trainer. She started her career as youth worker at 2013 as a President of the Youth council at the Municipality of Shtip. Sanja has extended expertise in working with youth with fewer opportunities, training youth workers on non-formal education and youth leadership programmers, project writing, project management, working with young volunteers, advocacy, youth policy, youth research and now she is active member and manager at Youth on Board.
From 2017 Sanja become a National Representative for North Macedonia in Western Balkans Alumni Association.
Sanja values and understands how vital it is to build a trusting and compassionate relationship when working with youngster. She uses art, drama, storytelling, dedication and perseverance as a way to build a therapeutic alliance with them, but most of all, she is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue supporting the amazing and resilient youth of Macedonia and abroad.

Marina Tomović holds a BSc and SpecSci in International Relations from University of Montenegro. She spent her final year abroad in Poland and Hungary as an Erasmus+ and CEEPUS scholarship holder.
Volunteering since high school, she always found time to dedicate to a good cause. During her undergraduate studies, besides excellent academic achievements she was actively engaged in the work of student organisation MAPSS and television and radio in her hometown Herceg Novi.
After obtaining her undergraduate degree, Marina had the opportunity to complete a traineeship at the Delegation of European Union to Montenegro where she has been, among other, monitoring, analysing and reporting on accession negotiation process of Montenegro to the EU regarding political criteria.
Today she is a young professional with experience in many different areas such as environmental protection, human and minority rights, youth activism and leadership, and European integration. She is particularly experienced in CSO project managing and public relations.
Marina is also a certified youth activist in Montenegro and Franco-German Youth Office leader of international youth exchanges. Currently she is working at Zero Waste Montenegro, an NGO dealing with sustainable development, waste management, prevention of single-use plastics, and promotion of circular economy and zero-waste lifestyle.

Stefan Ubiparipovićclose

Stefan Ubiparipović has a BA (Hons) in International Affairs from the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Political Sciences. As an undergraduate, he studied for a year at the University of Ghent in Belgium where he specialized in European integration. Currently, Stefan is a student at the Joint Interdisciplinary Master’s Programme in South-Eastern European Studies, University of Belgrade, during which he spent a semester at the University of Graz, Austria.
He completed a traineeship program at the EU Delegation to the Republic of Serbia and completed an internship within the Core Negotiating Team for the Accession of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union. Stefan also worked at the British Council Serbia as a Customer Care Officer and was a representative for the European Federation for Intercultural Learning, Brussels. He is a project assistant at the Belgrade Open School on the “Civil Society as a Force for Change in the Serbia’s EU Accession Process“project.
He fluently speaks English and intermediate German.

Currently she is a teaching assistant of Analytical Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural and Mathematical Science, University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” in Prishtina. She finished her PhD study in 2014 in Chemistry between University of Tirana and Karl Franzens University of Graz getting scholarship as PhD exchange student at Karl Franzens University of Graz Join EU-SEE project in cooperation with ERASMUS MUNDUS. The scientific interest covers the designing of new electrochemical sensors and biosensors based on heterogeneous carbon electrodes and their applications in pharmaceutical and environmental analysis.
She is Academic coordinator for Erasmus + project between University of Prishtina, Kosovo and Keele University, UK (2018 - 2020). She realized few ERASMUS + exchange mobility as a student and academic staff. Part of some National and International projects (Erasmus + project ‘’Join Master programs between Universities’’, Cost action projects etc.). Accomplished first own projects in 2019 with a title ‘’ Antibiotic Residues in Water near Municipalities of Kosovo: Raising Public Health Issues Awareness through University Teaching’’. She is developing her own second research project. She already is author and coauthor of five papers.
She is active member of Western Balkan Alumni Association (WBAA) since 2017 and from August 2020 she is a board member of WBBA representing Kosovo chapter. As a member “Academic and Career Development” team within WBAA she joined two WBAA projects so far. The first one was "The development and promotion of training skills and competencies" in Western Balkans and the second ongoing online project is “Using the time wisely during the COVID-19 pandemic – Experiences and perspectives of young people in the Western Balkans"

Jovana Vukcevic is currently a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher in the urbanHIST programme, working in Spain, France, Slovakia and Italy on the topic of institutionalization and commodification of contested memories in Europe. Her other experiences include the positions of teaching assistant at the University of Montenegro, researcher at the Leipzig Graduate School Global and Area studies, start-up scholar at the Bielefeld University and ZEIT Stiftung’s pre-doctoral fellow. She obtained her Erasmus Mundus Master degree from Charles University of Prague and EHESS Paris in the field of European studies, defending with honours her thesis “Commodification of the collective memory: Yugonostalgia as a marketing strategy”. She also holds BA in Economics from University of Montenegro and MA in Management from University of Nice. She presented her research papers at academic conferences in Berlin, Dakar, Dublin, Paris, Florence, Budapest, Warsaw, etc. and participated in number of European trainings and programs in the field of academia, youth development and media. She is part of several European projects and networks and active member of number of professional and scientific associations. Other than her research activities, Jovana is very active in the field of modernization of higher education in the Western Balkans, as a regional representative of the Western Balkans Alumni Association since its establishment. She is fluent in English, French and Italian and has a working knowledge of Czech, Spanish and German.

Bojana has six year experience working in the youth and higher education sector in Serbia and in Europe.
Before joining WBAA Bojana has been actively involved with the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) which is the biggest student association in Europe supporting and developing international student mobility. During the five years she volunteered in ESN, she performed the tasks of the President of the local association of ESN in Belgrade, the President of ESN Serbia and the Chair of ESN’s Committee for Education.
She holds a master’s degree in European integration from Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade, where she also obtained her bachelor's degree in International Politics. As part of her master studies she went on Erasmus+ exchange and spent a semester studying at the University of Konstanz in Germany.
She is currently working as a Project Manager in two youth NGOs in Serbia, Centre for Youth - YOUR SERBIA and Serbian Association for Youth.
