ASAF is a platform of African students, alumni and professionals who have benefited from international mobility scholarships funded by the European Union and the African Union that offers opportunities for exchange, collaboration and capacity building.
ASAF is organised by its members who work on a volunteer basis. ASAF is funded by the European Union and managed by the European Union in close cooperation with the African Union.
The European Commission is the EU institution responsible for drawing up proposals for new European legislation and implementing the decisions of the European Parliament and the Council of the EU. WBAA is supported by the Directorate for Education and Culture and Directorate General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations.
Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA) offers an international professional and personal network for Erasmus Mundus students and graduates. EMA members can join professional networks and service teams to network and become active within the Association. Jobs board and special entrepreneurship section are offered as well. EMA members are ambassadors of the Erasmus Mundus. EMA shares the idea of international education and spread the message around the world. Since its foundation EMA members have initiated or taken part in over 150 fairs, information seminars and promotional activities worldwide, using the promotional materials of EMA. EMA serves as channel of communication for students, alumni, universities and the European Commission. Through the Programme Representatives and Country Representatives EMA enables the potential Erasmus Mundus applicants to get in touch with the current students and graduates and to receive a piece of advice and recommendations based on the experience of previous generations.
The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is the biggest European student organization acting in the field of student mobility and internalization of higher education. ESN is a non-profit organization of 530 local sections in 40 countries in 975 Higher Education Institutions, gathering 15 000 volunteers. ESN provides support services to over 170 000 international students and works for their needs by facilitating their mobility period, ensuring social cohesion, reintegration and by enhancing intercultural awareness and active citizenship. ESN ensures student participation in education and training policy by providing to its members trainings, seminars and non-formal education opportunities. ESN contributes to the creation of a more mobile and flexible education environment by supporting student exchanges from different levels and providing the “internalisation at home”. ESN contributes to the further development of European mobility, active citizenship and volunteering.
ESN further works in the interest of international students by improving the conditions of student learning mobility (integration, advocacy on vertical levels, provision of information, evaluation of mobility programmes, promotion, motivation and preparation) and by enhancing internationalisation, intercultural understanding and active participation in Europe. The main activities of the organisation at the international level are research projects in different mobility and higher education related issues.
ESN has a professional secretariat of 8 employees, 2 interns and 5 full-time volunteers working in Brussels and other 300 active volunteers working part time in supporting bodies of the organisation such as committees, working groups or project teams. The international Headquarters has a professional team of experienced employees with extensive knowledge of European Projects and general management.
garagErasmus is a foundation as well as an ambitious project of social innovations.
Its goal is to bring together a cool community of internationally minded people, who have had a professional or study experience abroad. Therefore, our community entails those who have enjoyed the fantastic experience of the Erasmus Programme (over 9 millions so far in Europe) and also those with other international experiences.
garagErasmus is among the founders of the Erasmus Students and Alumni Association (ESAA), the first attempt of the European Commission to establish a platform that brings together the main players of the before, during and after of the Erasmus Programme.
garagErasmus takes care of the life after Erasmus and it is the only recognised platform by the European Commission to work on establishing the Erasmus generation professional network. In fact since 2016 once a person is finishing his/her Erasmus experience is also automatically invited to register on garagErasmus on-line platform through ESAA.
OCEANS Network – is a network for students and alumni of the Erasmus+ programmes between the European Union on the one side and its partner countries on the other side. The student exchanges aim at promoting better relations between the people, improving the intercultural understanding and knowledge transfer.
