“Using the time wisely during the COVID-19 pandemic – experiences & perspectives of young people in the Western Balkans”
This activity is part of a webinar series which aims to bring together young people of the Western Balkans sharing experiences and perspectives related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on remote study skills, productivity, innovation, and resilience building. The first webinar focused on Albania, the second on Kosovo* and intended to foster discussions on challenges and opportunities, to provide examples of how the COVID-19 pandemic is reshaping our education and our future.
This 3rd webinar which will take place on FRI,NOV,27th from 6-7pm will focus on Montenegro.
Iva Kljajevic will make a short introduction about the general facts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the current situation in Montenegro. As recent graduate from the University of Montenegro she will analyze the impact of COVID-19 on Montenegrin higher educational sector, as well as share tips and tricks on how to stay motivated in order to overcome this crisis.
Ivana Radosavljevic will talk about the wise use of time during the pandemic with the spotlight on people interested in biomedicine. She will share her personal experience on how she became part of the Personalized Medicine Podcast, talk about her personal blog, discuss what not to do online and briefly mention online courses and decisions on whether to enroll depending on your situation.
Lana Kljajevic will analyze advantages and disadvantages of digital learning and she will discuss about the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic had on the teaching sector in Montenegro.
Bojan Sekulic will discuss in what way this pandemic changed everyday and professional lives of Montenegrin athletes and how the sport clubs in Montenegro adapted to the COVID-19 crisis.
Iva Kljajevic has completed a Master of Science in Biology – Ecology at the University of Montenegro and is author of two scientific papers in the field of ichthyology. She was awarded a Ceepus scholarship by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (Vienna) in “Hydrobiology and Aquatic Ecosystem Management” and participated in the 18th international youth conference “European values for the future of SEE countries”. She has worked as a trainee in the microbiology laboratory at LLC “Vodovod i kanalizacija” in Podgorica, Montenegro.
Ivana Radosavljevic is an online student pursuing a Master’s Degree in Cardiovascular Science at Georg- August – Universität Göttingen (Germany). Apart from studying she’s working at Wastewater Treatment Plant PPOV Meljine (Montenegro) as a QC biotechnologist and as a content manager of Personalized Medicine Podcast. Her engagement also includes a personal blog: “ScienceTrainee”. She describes herself as a quite ambitious idealist dedicated to understanding the human body and molecular mechanisms behind diseases and to facilitating medical treatments.
Lana Kljajevic holds a Spec. Sci in English language and literature (teaching direction) at the University Mediteran in Montenegro. She was awarded scholarships as the student of generation three years in a row. She worked as a trainee at Interpol, Ministry of Interior (Podgorica, Montenegro) and she’s currently working as a teacher in a language school. She describes herself as creative and cooperative.
Bojan Sekulic is a Spec. Sci in Hospitality and tourism management at the University Mediteran in Montenegro. He has few years of working experience in the sector Logistics at LLC Petrol (Podgorica, Montenegro) and in the administration of the handball club “Buducnost”. Since he was 15 he has performed as DJ in different discos in the coastal town of Montenegro, Budva, in the capital city and in the cruisers.
