Erasmus+ Welcome Day at the University Goce Delcev in Shtip, N. Macedonia

The Erasmus+ Welcome Ceremony, which greeted new international students at Goce Delcev University in Shtip, North Macedonia, took place on November 1st, 2023.

Over 20 students from five European countries (Spain, Italy, Poland, Turkey, and Lithuania) were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Ana Nikodinovska Krstevska, and Sanja Stefanova from the International Relations Office at the University. A significant number of local students from various parts of Macedonia also attended the event.

During the ceremony, new international students shared interesting stories about their home universities and countries, allowing them to connect and learn about each other. They also received important information about the University and life in Macedonia and Shtip from University officials.

Milan Stojanovic, a Regional WBAA Board Member recognised for his regional activism and role in WBAAA, introduced WBAA and other EU alumni organisations to both local and international students. He explained the opportunities available after their mobility period and how they can stay engaged in higher education modernisation efforts in their respective countries.

Milan expressed his confidence in Goce Delcev University's excellent implementation of the Erasmus programs of the European Union and extended his best wishes for the University to continue thriving with more new EU projects and many new international students in the future.
