Call for participation in PhD research survey
WBAA member and former Board member Samir Beharić from Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently conducting PhD research at the University of Bamberg on the impact of international scholarship programmes on migration-related decisions, as well as the academic and professional trajectories of scholarship holders from the Western Balkans.
The research particularly focuses on how international mobility experiences and scholarship opportunities influence decisions related to living abroad, returning to home countries or engaging in transnational professional and academic networks. The study also explores broader questions related to student mobility, brain drain, brain circulation and knowledge exchange in the region.
As part of this research, all WBAA members who studied abroad on a scholarship between 2014 and today are warmly invited to participate in an online survey.
The survey is:
- fully anonymous
- takes approximately 10 minutes
- available in seven languages, including English and all languages of the Western Balkans region
Take part in the survey on international scholarship experiences and mobility decisions
Your participation will make a valuable contribution to a better understanding of the long-term effects of international scholarship programmes and mobility opportunities for young people from the Western Balkans.
The survey will remain open until 21 April.
Should you have any questions regarding the survey or the research project, please feel free to contact Samir Beharić directly at: samir.beharic@uni-bamberg.de
