Supporting Smart Specialisation Strategies and Technology Transfer in South-East Europe

WBAA is happy to announce that this event will take place on the 18th June at the Politehnica University of Bucharest (Bucharest, Romania).

The registration is open until 7th June but participants who are eligible for reimbursement* need to register before 10th May:

The conference, organised by the JRC and the Romanian Ministry of Research and Innovation during the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the EU, will focus on the progress, results and challenges related to the development and implementation of successful smart specialisation strategies, innovation ecosystems and technology transfer capacities, in particular following the best practices and trends from Europe and internationally.

The event isin connection to the "Innovative Enterprise week" in Bucharest on 19-21 June 2019.

* Depending on your background, affiliation and country of origin you may be eligible to obtain financial support to cover the costs of attending this workshop. Nationals from the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo**, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Ukraine, the Republic of North Macedonia, Turkey, Armenia and Georgia may apply for waiving accommodation and travel costs. Please note that we may give priority to the nationals whose actual residence is in these countries. However, given budget restrictions, this will be granted on a case by case basis and upon submission of an expression of interest. The applications will be assessed on the basis of motivation, background, geographical balance and organisation. Those concerned will be notified with the acceptance letter.

** This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSC 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo Declaration of Independence.
