WBAA Local Event in Tetovo inspires high school students to explore Erasmus+ opportunities

20251015 WBAA Local Event in Tetovo

On 3 October 2025, a WBAA Local Event was successfully held in Tetovo, North Macedonia, bringing together 20 enthusiastic secondary school students in their final year. The event aimed to introduce young people to the wide range of Erasmus+ opportunities available to them as they prepare to continue their education.

Throughout the event, participants learnt about various European programmes and initiatives, following an agenda that included presentations on Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges, Higher Education Mobility and Scholarships, the DiscoverEU project, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Programme, and an introduction to WBAA and its community.

Students showed particular interest in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Programme, recognising its value for developing entrepreneurial ideas and gaining international experience. Many were also inspired by the DiscoverEU initiative, which encourages youth to explore Europe and broaden their horizons before starting university studies.

The event emphasised the importance of being informed and prepared for student mobility opportunities from the very first day of university.

In addition to the presentations, participants engaged in discussions with WBAA members and alumni. The event was led by Dejan Galovski, WBAA Board Member from North Macedonia, with special participation from Milan Stojanović (Board Member, Serbia Chapter) and Njomza Salluka (Board Member, Kosovo Chapter), who shared their personal Erasmus+ experiences and motivated the students to take active steps towards their future in Europe. Students had the opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas, and connect with peers and WBAA representatives.

The event reminded students that Erasmus+ is more than a programme; it is an invitation to explore new horizons, foster curiosity, and allow transformative experiences to shape the journey ahead.
