Second and third online training of the WBAA online project “Communication is real sensation”
The second and third online training of the WBAA online project “Communication is real sensation” took place on the 18th and 19th of December in 2020. These two trainings addressed the topic “Effective communication/Elevator pitch*” with 19 participants joining on Dec 18th and 13 on Dec 19th. The training was held by the experienced trainer Marija Stevuljevic.
During the training “Effective communication/Elevator pitch” the participants were given the chance to improve their communications skills. The training consisted of the input of the trainer Marija Stevuljevic on the one side and of the output of the participants on the other side. Two videos were presented by the trainer while a series of lectures on effective communication and elevator pitches were shared as well.
Every participant was assigned with the task to design and write their own elevator pitch in relation to the obtained elevator pitch scheme (handout) and based on what they learned during the training. Once the participants finished writing, they read it out to the plenum, upon which the trainer gave them feedback. The trainer also provided a chance for participants to give their feedback by the “sandwich” method, which is used to give assertive feedback. The participants were all very willing to actively involve in the training.
