WBAA as Positive Deviance - academic paper

Academic paper recommendation

We are proud to announce the publication of a new book chapter by our esteemed members of the Western Balkans Association of Alumni (WBAA) with a renowned publisher, Springer. The chapter, entitled "WBAA as Positive Deviance," is part of a book series edited by the Head of the WBAA Research Team, Renata Petrevska Nechkoska, and her colleagues.

The chapter aims to explore how and why WBAA, as a regional entity, is a Positive Deviance within the Problem Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA) strategy. This core principle of PDIA encourages experimentation and positive deviance by creating supportive environments within and across organizations. The chapter outlines the distinctiveness of WBAA and argues why it serves as a positive deviance for the Balkans region. The ultimate goal of this chapter is to inspire leaders, institutions, CSOs, citizens, academia, and others to adopt a regional approach and move beyond silos, while also bridging functional connections with developed countries.

We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all WBAA members who have contributed to this chapter and to this groundbreaking book series, "Facilitation in Complexity." This publication showcases the success of Western Balkans in collaborating perfectly, voluntarily, and tracing uncharted territories of co-creation and mutual support.
