WBAA project: report of “Project Management Tools for More Powerful Youth”
Scrum Master Certified SMC with Microsoft Azure DevOps training
The training Scrum Master Certified SMC with Microsoft Azure DevOps training aimed at training young people members of WBAA into professionals who would be able to implement the Agile methodology and the Srcum Framework in their everyday work as a management. The Scrum master has a role to facilitate the process and ensure that the Scrum Team is provided with an environment conducive to completing the project successfully. The Scrum Master guides, facilitates, and teaches Scrum practices to everyone involved in the project; clears impediments for the team; and, ensure that Scrum processes are being followed. In more details the participants were specially trained and gained knowledge on Agile including the Agile Manifesto, Principles and Methods. Also, the Srcum, advantages of Scrum, the Scrum Roles, Scrum Project Phases and Scaling Scrum.
The training took place from 18 January ending 10 February 2021. The 20 participants were divided into two groups, the first group had training every Monday and Wednesday and the second group had training every Tuesday and Thursday. The groups were mixed including participants from all 6 Western Balkan countries, with different working and educational background and age and gender diversity. The training was organised by Semos Education and delivered by Mr. Stefan Krstevski.
The training sessions lasting 3 hours included theoretical and practical segments. The participants were firstly educated for the subject and afterwards throughout practical exercise had an opportunity to implement the knowledge to a case based tasks. The trainer’s overview and feedback provided has shown that the groups were very active and good listeners, the participants with experience with the topic shared their experience and helped in making the topics more understandable and closer to the knowledge of the less experienced participants. From the other side the participants with no experience in project managements had an opportunity to ask questions, to request more details and explanation which also helped the process of learning by exchanging more examples and practical experience on the subject. The overall atmosphere was fruitful, the communication was at satisfactory level and the gained knowledge was satisfactory.
The main outcome of the training is that the participants are well trained to work and use a new set of skills, needed for their professional development in the future. The participants gained knowledge and new skills in the field of Project Management and ICT which will help them face the new challenges caused by the global pandemic crisis, and working in new environment, i.e. working at distance.
