Candidate for Head of Team for Higher Education Reform & Equal access to higher education

 

What is your motivation to apply for this position?   

I have been working at the Department of Economic Theory and Policy, School of Economics and Business, University of Sarajevo (SEBS) for 13 years already. While working in higher education my research interest is also education and education reforms and systems in the Western Balkans region and the importance of informal education for employability of youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

What plans or ideas do you have for the team?

WBAA Team on „Higher Education Reform & Equal access to higher education“ activities in the upcoming period should focus on:

  • Developing a platform for high education reform that will gather policy makers, private sector and higher education institutions;
  • Promoting digitalization and digital literacy as part of higher education reform and eliminating inequalities;
  • Gettering good practices across the region and sharing knowledge and experience.

 

What skills and qualities can you bring to this position?

Skills: Leadership, communication, teamwork and specific knowledge and experience: international education and 13 years of work experience in higher education.

 

Please describe your previous involvement with WBAA.

The OPEN project (Opportunities Presence through European funds and other Networks in BiH and the region) and launching of the online platform, financed by Western Balkans Alumni Association (WBAA), march 2021 (Part of project team with Adnan Rahimic).
