Tihomir Latinovic

Candidate for Head of Team for Higher Education Reform & Equal access to higher education

What is your motivation to apply for this position?

As a professor, I wish I could have an impact on Higher Education Reform & Equal access to higher education for all young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

What plans or ideas do you have for the team?

Through workshops on the EU way of higher education and introducing WBAA members to EU standards in higher education, they would work to ensure that Bosnia and Herzegovina has the same standards. Another way is to form a team that should make documentation for which they would do such an extensive job.

What skills and qualities can you bring to this position?

As a long-term professor, I am familiar with the education system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and as an evaluator of universities and their undergraduate and doctoral studies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania, I became acquainted with working in the EU. There is a visible difference in our and the EU educational system, and we must overcome that in the coming period.

Please describe your previous involvement with WBAA.

I am a professor at the University of Banja Luka, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
I have been a member of the WBAA since the first founding assembly in Tirana.
I was previously a member of the WBAA research team and am now a member of Higher Education Reform & Equal access to higher education. I have successfully realized the project “Making a Regnet” with representatives of all countries of the Western Balkans.
